center for environmental imaging

The Center for Environmental Imaging (CEI) is an effort started by members of the Sandin lab and 100 Island Challenge team to provide cutting-edge imaging and analytical tools to a broad academic, governmental, and private clientele. Our goal is the remove the financial and logistical barriers limiting the application of environmental imaging technologies, and help our clients leverage image-based data to maximize the impact of their work.

At the Center for Environmental Imaging we specialize in the creation and use of 3D models from images of the natural world, creating digital surrogates that enable our clientele to conduct 'virtual fieldwork' using enhanced visual and analytical tools. We offer our clients product and consulting services at 3 key steps:
1. Image acquisition
2. Model Construction
3. Visualization and Custom Analytics
