Cristiane Palaretti | Masters Student

Short Bio: Member of the Sandin lab since March 2010, Cristiane recently obtained her bachelors degree in Ecology, Behavior and Evolution from UCSD. Now she is working on her masters through the UCSD BS/MS program, where she is investigating the effects of fisheries and other environmental factors on the life history of coral reef fish. In the near future, she plans to continue her work in the marine sciences while involving other underrepresented students in both her research work and education. She looks forward to doing this in the United States and in Brazil, where she originated. Her favorite fish among so many is the boxfish Acanthostracion polygonia and her favorite coral is the Mussismilia braziliensis.
